Territorial Educational Practices (referred to as PET) correspond to one of the innovative policies at the Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos (UADER), which has relevant institutional importance, considering that it promotes processes which interweave what is curricular with outreach activity.
The said practices are considered spaces for the construction of learning situated in real contexts and as educational acts that boost the integral training of the students, consolidating social commitment and the articulation of the important
functions of the University.
These PET activities were incorporated in the preparation for the undergraduate and post graduate programs from 2019. For this, a gradual implementation was planned and this gave way to the Academic Units which defined the modalities and
characteristics in a time span of two years.
In this article, the development of the PET at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Health (henceforth referred to as FCVyS) will be discussed along with the relevant results. The description of what took place will be provided in order to shed light on
this important achievement within the UADER, at 25 years of its creation.
The FCVyS was the first Faculty of the UADER which fulfilled the requirements of this type of integral practices with regard to time and form, thus empowering the role of the Public University.
This was and is made possible thanks to the involvement of the members of the Faculty and the communities along with the internal normatives that favoured the implementation of these practices.
There is also the active management that enables their sustenance.
