This article analyses the possible relationships between educational research and teaching, particularly in primary education. The study is based on the work experience developed, since 2014, for the Licenciatura en Enseñanza de la Lectura y la Escritura para la Educación Primaria (Degree in Teaching to Read and Write at Primary School Level) of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. In recent decades, educational research has been monopolised by the
circuit of specialists in the area. We reflect, instead, on the possibilities of a research production carried out by the teachers themselves.
