The aim of the present study was to raise the awareness of families to the opportunities offered by agro-ecological vegetable gardens considering the need to adapt ourselves to the new reality imposed by the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 in Argentina and the world, and to continue the strengthening of links between institutions and the community within the territory to provide solutions to concrete problems. This was thought through in terms of self- sustainability, combining the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) along with technical and social accompaniment. For this, diverse activities were organised and these used informative posters as guidelines relating to pestilences and the damage they cause along with images that help identification to incorporate monitoring habits important for pest management. Moreover, by means of a survey, the learning process of the participants could be evaluated. The experience facilitated communication regarding spaces and mutual knowledge among participants and also between participants and those responsible for the project.
