This arride reflects progress made in the research project "Case study: Impact of the economic crisis in the working community and the subjectivities of construction workers. The Paraná case". Here, the contextualisation of the 2008-2010 crisis and the description of the countercyclical policies taken by the nacional government are taken into consideration. Crises recur in the history of capitalism as the financing systems, despite being highly sophisticated in design, are incapable of auto-regulation. In this study it is seen that the emergency situation arises with the fall of Lehman Brothers in 2008, the effect of which was seen in the real estate sector. This led to investment retraction in developing countries while affecting construction in other countries. From here grew the search for the subjectivity of the community of construction workers in the subjective aspects of the subject and in the very context of production within social subjectivity. This aspect is enriched with the contribution made by photography as a methodological tool used with the collaboration of students in the department of Methodology and Techniques of Qualitative Analysis, in the Bachelor's programme in Social Work and Political Science. Our work highlights the role of construction workers, often an invisible part of the sector, as they resist the political changes and upheavals to which they are exposed.
