This article aims to study the educational policies of the first Peronism from the analysis of two congresses. The first Congreso de Presidentes de Consejo General de Educación carried out in Paraná in 1947 and the Conferencia Nacional sobre Coordinación de la Enseñanza celebrated in San Juan in 1948. Both meetings aimed to argue the orientation and coordination of public education in the nation. Through this analysis we intend to reconstruct the debate about the relationship between nation and provinces in education during the first Peronism. We will take two axes: the economic contribution of the nation to the provinces and the unity of the study programs. This work concludes that the limits that the national proposal found in the provinces, constitutes a central argument to put in context the centralist character of the educational policy during that period.
