Abstract

Access to state social policies is one of the resources  that permit the satisfying of needs  for  subjects  and  domestic  units  that  form  part  of society.   These  social policies are part  of the strategies  implemented  by the Stare in response  to the consequences of the "Social Question". These  state social policies in turn have traversed different moments since the  emergence  of  Neo-liberalism in Argentina   and  the  experiences  of subjects  regarding access to  these  policies  have been  modifi.ed.   Considerations whether  or not  the Assisting Social Policies permit the subjects  and domestic  units receiving  them  to satisfy needs  revea! how these policies allow social reproduction in popular  sectors, or in the contrary case identify the tensions  that  appear.   Moreover,  the principal  conclusions  presented here  are linked to reflections  that  arise by conforming to  a central  aspect  of the  analysis: how  these  sectors reproduce their life and what  options  exist  to overcome  the complete commodifi.cation  of living conditions  of populations.
