This study is part of a more ample work entitled "The discussion on literature of exposure of the 1950s generation. Juan José Manauta (Argentina) and Juan Marsé (Spain): a comparative reading of two novels" located in the faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos (UADER). The objective of this article is the analysis of games and toys of the children who are the protagonists of If they tellyou I fe!! (1973) by Juan Marsé or rather, as said by one of the characters, "tbe scarcity of toys" (Marsé, 1989: 23) and to think of its significance in the narrative world of the Spanish novelist. The idea is to think if children are a mirror of what they perceive from adults or if, on the contrary, they become a form of resistance.
