Abstract

This contribution describes a collection of coprolites from Ituzaingó Formation that crops out in the Province of Entre Ríos, in Northeastern Argentina. Samples were assigned to a new ichnogenus: Mesopotacaprns igen nov. In addition, four new ichnospecies are defined and identified by their morphological characters: Mesopotacaprns laevis isp. nov., Mesopotacaprns celinai isp. nov., Mesopotacaprns acostai isp. nov. and Mesopotacaprnsporosus isp. nov.. Genetic and palaeoenvironmental considerations are done on the basis of their characteristics and stratigraphical framework.
