Abstract

This study seeks to present Julio Cortázar as a poet who traverses multiple worlds, crafting in his verses a universe of lived experience where sensitivity entwines with love, freedom, and Latin American commitment. Emotions flow freely, blurring the lines between wakefulness and dreams. Given that his poetry is less studied than his narrative, this analysis aims to explore Cortázar's poetic craft. By examining his work, we can gain insight into the word and aesthetics that come with the responsibility of being a Latin American writer. Cortázar's verses reflect the collective experience, forming a circular mandala where life's experiences are born. His artistry ignites the immortal flame of the poet, a testament to the power of his craft.
