Estimating carbon stored in aboveground biomass is essential for assessing the role of Entre Ríos ecosystems in climate-change mitigation. This study analyzes its spatial distribution by integrating Biomass_cci v5 (ESA, 2010–2021) with land-cover and land-use mapping from MapBiomas Argentina, reprocessed in GIS and cloud-based computing infrastructure to ac-celerate calculation and manage large data volumes. The information was reclassified into a ~90 m grid and linked to ecoregions, hydrographic basins, and administrative departments, estimating carbon as C = B * 0.5. A total of 254 field records and regional literature sources were compiled to validate the results. Fewer than 2% of the territory exceed 50 Mg C/ha, while 38% falls below 15 Mg C/ha and 21.18% contains less than 1 Mg C/ha. Statistical tests revealed significant discrepancies between Biomass_cci and field measurements, highlight-ing the need for local calibration; however, global products remain useful for interpreting spatial patterns, supporting territorial planning, and informing sustainable land-manage-ment strategies.
