UADER, a model of social inclusion and territorial development
Keywords:

With which university model does UADER identify in terms of the mode of knowledge pro-duction in Argentine (and Latin American) universities? With the one “free-thinking” or with the “developmentalist” and “useful knowledge” one? This article posits that, since its found-ing, UADER has adhered to the developmentalist model, not only because it oriented its scientific and technological production toward the needs of provincial social and productive development, but also because it aimed to close the inequality gap in access to higher edu-cation existing between the lowest and highest income deciles of the population. Concomi-tantly, it launched a territorial development, probably unique in Argentina, which allowed more than 70% of the people of Entre Ríos to have a "nearby" university in their locality, and the remaining 29% within a radius of no more than 100 km from their place of residence.
