2025-06-302025-06-3016I1028SOCIAL STRATIFICATION, CHILDCARE PROVISION, AND COLONIALITY OF POWER: A THEORETICAL REFLECTION FROM ENTRE RÍOS
https://revista.uader.edu.ar/index.php/aasif/article/view/312

This article offers a theoretical review aimed at reflecting on the relationship between the provision of childcare and processes of social stratification, with a focus on the case of Entre Ríos. Social stratification is understood to be the hierarchical organization of groups or strata within a society (Bottomore, 1973, as cited in López Pérez, 1989). We posit that reproductive processes are both shaped by and embedded within specific modes of social structuring and that multiple inequalities arise from them. The article begins with an analysis of historical perspectives on inequality, thus inviting a critical examination of how social categorizations differentiate life trajectories.
It then proceeds to reveal an approach to childcare provision as a social, political, and historical phenomenon, wherein structures of power and domination interact to produce particularised relationships and identities. To deepen the existent problematization of these processes, insights from decolonial theory are incorporated with the aim of unpacking the over-
lapping categorizations that intersect childhood and childcare practices. The article concludes by posing a series of questions and reflections to further explore and question these issues.
GABRIEL EMILIANAO ATELMAN

2025-06-302025-06-3016I2949PUBLIC POLICIES IN THE PROVINCE OF ENTRE RIOS RELATED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIONS TO PROMOTE HEALTH, WITH EMPHASIS ON THE ISSUE OF SUICIDE IN ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTH IN PARANA
https://revista.uader.edu.ar/index.php/aasif/article/view/313

The suicide rate in the adolescent population and youth of Entre Rios is rising and the statistics are higher than the values seen in the national statistics, thus configuring it as a public health problem. Faced with the tension between the sustained and accelerated growth in the suicide rate in adolescents and youth and the implementation of public policies, this study seeks to focus on the actions that promote health as a part of a fundamental strategy of Atención Primaria de la Salud- Attention to Health First- (APS)- and to make explicit the challenges in public policy in the province of Entre Rios regarding
the implementation of actions to promote health with regard to suicide in adolescents and youth in the city of de Paraná. The findings show these challenges to be: the intensity of practices based on the inter-sectorial, co-responsibility and networks as an integral approach to complex issues. The participation of adolescents and youth in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of public policy; generating and sustaining spaces for communities and groups as a way of working with adolescents and youth; intensifying actions related to research on epidemiology that enables knowing about the situation at a local level and taking action in accordance with the said information; the evaluation of public policy as a fundamental part of the cycle of public policy; the setting aside of resources, in keeping with
the relevance of the issue at a local and provincial level and in actions to promote health specifically; and the continuity of the existence of the Programme and its actions.
MARIA AGUSTINA CETTA

2025-06-302025-06-3016I5088SIGNIFICATIONS OF NURSING CARE IN MENTAL HEALTH FROM THE USERS’ PERSPECTIVE AT THE HOSPITAL’S SCHOOL OF MENTAL HEALTH IN PARANA; ENTRE RIOS; ARGENTINA
https://revista.uader.edu.ar/index.php/aasif/article/view/314

This study presents the significations of nursing for users of Mental Health hospitalisation services at the Hospital’s School of Mental Health in Parana, Entre Rios, Argentina which is a centre of reference within the province in dealing with mental illness.
This interpretative qualitative study is based on in-depth interviews with chronic and seriously affected patients, of both sexes, who have been hospitalised in the institution and also those being treated as visiting patients.
Within the conclusions and as a relevant aspect to be underlined is that, among the significations in Nursing Care for the users, that same care is intimately associated with the subjectivity of the persons practicing it, thus establishing an equivalence between quality of the care in itself and the human quality of the care as given by the professional. Nursing care in this context can assume the character of an asylum practice which in turn produces scars on the body of the patient; and when we speak of the “body”, we speak of subjectivity, understanding the body to be that same subjectivity.
From a more general analytical dimension on the significations that we have examined, it is possible to affirm that beyond the advances in the role of nursing in this disciplinary field, there is the predominance of a tutelary figure of the nursing personnel on the patients. Such aspects allow for rethinking the means of intervention of nursing in subjects with
mental illness.
STELLA MARIS DUERTOSTELLA MARIS DUERTO
